Behavioral incentive to optimize human skills by Fifty

THEbehavioral incentive is one of the ways that allow companies to optimize the personal and human skills of their employees in the workplace. The concept, based on Nudge, is currently popular with HR. It is combined with artificial intelligence in training courses for behavioral anchoring in a professional environment offered by Fifty.

Behavioral incentive and its applications

THEbehavioral incentive is a practice taken from Nudge, literally translated as “boost.” The latter is a theory developed by the winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize in Economics, Richard Thaler and which is especially applicable in the context of behavioral economics. According to this specialist, everyone's choices and behaviors are influenced by what's around us, what we see and what we hear.

The concept focuses on “gently” encouraging the adoption of a beneficial change in a person's behaviors, helping in decision-making, as a citizen, consumer, patients, etc. At its core, the principle consists in showing the individual the validity of his choice and that he does so in complete freedom, both for himself and for those around him. This method has also proven its effectiveness in managing social problems such as incivility, in correcting bad habits of citizens, etc.

Recently, human resources managers in companies and various organizations have also adopted this method. In particular, they included it in their strategies to improve the quality of life at work of employees, but also in order to optimize their interpersonal skills in their professional environment and relationships. The boost inbehavioral incentive must however be visible, identifiable and optional in order to be effective. For this reason, nudge is sometimes customized according to needs and objectives and the strategy designed by specialists in the field.

Behavioral incentive training by Fifty

Fifty offers training based onbehavioral incentive which perfectly combines the principles of Nudge with the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence. Fifty's educational programs are designed to meet the needs of companies wishing to help their employees in the process of developing human skills or behavioral anchoring in a professional environment.

In the form of AFEST (Action de Formation En Situation de Travail), the training is based on the realization by the participants of micro-actions. These are included by AI in a personalized journey according to the needs and objectives to be achieved by each person. In other words, the platform offers a list of actions to be performed on a daily basis, and the AI is responsible for designing an individualized journey in accordance with the selected actions. The programs take into account both the technical skills and the human skills of the learners, with the aim of improving both.

It is obvious that the participants will be fully involved in their journey. Although offered online, the training action requires the full involvement of learners if they want to obtain satisfactory results. Especially since the program including thebehavioral incentive focuses more on practice than on theory. Finally, it is useful to specify here that changes in behavior and habits, at the personal and organizational level, will be measured in real time and anonymized. This will allow the AI to adapt the actions to be carried out according to the progress in the course.
